Former La Porte coach inducted into hall of honor
Former La Porte coach Carroll Lundin was one of five former coaches to be inducted into the Texas High School Coaches Association Hall of Honor at its annual luncheon on Wednesday.
Lundin, who is retired, spent 45 years in education. As a head coach, he went 32-6-1 and earned a state championship game berth from 1971-73 at Austin Reagan before moving to La Porte in 1974, where he went 107-47-1 in 14 years.
