Baytown city offices to close for holiday
Baytown city offices, including those at City Hall, public works and utility billing, will be closed Monday, July 5, for Independence Day.
All offices will reopen for business at their regular time on Tuesday, July 6.
All emergency services, as well as residential trash and curbside recycling collection, will operate as usual on Monday. Street and utility crews will be on standby in the event of an emergency.
The Baytown Green Center will be closed Saturday, and both the Community Center and the Sterling Municipal Library will be closed Sunday and Monday.
City parks, including Pirates Bay, Roseland Spray Park, the Baytown Nature Center and both skate parks will remain open.
Bicentennial Park will host the city's annual Independence Day Celebration on Saturday and Sunday, with live music, vendor booths with food, games, and craft items, and a parade. The event will culminate Sunday evening with a fireworks display.
