Boys and Girls Harbor needs donations

Boys and Girls Harbor in La Porte needs donations of food, gift certificates and grocery cards.
The 62-bed residence shelters children ages 5-17 who have been displaced from their homes due to family illness, abuse or neglect.
Volunteer groups are encouraged to help by coordinating activities for children like birthday or holiday parties.
Families can apply to host children at their home for weekends and holidays, providing respite from the shelter.
