Pasadena teen to appear in TUTS show

Pasadena Memorial High School senior Sandy Valles will appear in Disney's My Son, Pinocchio Jr., a Theatre Under the Stars Free Family Fun event, set for 11 a.m. Wednesday through Friday at Miller Outdoor Theatre, 100 Concert Drive in Hermann Park, just south of the Museum of Natural Science and the Houston Garden Center.
The tale of an toymaker Gippetto and his puppet Pinocchio takes on timely issues in this family friendly musical.
The play marks Valles' 15th appearance in a TUTS production. The Pasadena native joined the Humphrey School of Musical Theatre at TUTS in 2000.
In 2009, Valles portrayed the lead role of Princess Jasmine in Disney's Dual Language Aladdin show.
