1 killed when car goes in ditch

One person died and another was injured when a car plowed into a ditch this morning in Pasadena.
The wreck occurred in the 5000 block of Allen Genoa about 11:15 a.m., police said.
Police said the driver of car traveling on Allen Genoa apparently lost control, veered from the road and careened into a ditch, hitting a person who was working there.
It is unclear if the driver or the worker was killed. One person was rushed to a hospital on a LifeFlight medical helicopter.
The victims' names have not been released.
Police are trying to determine what caused the wreck.
No other information was immediately available.
