San Jacinto College introduces agriculture and agribusiness programs
San Jacinto College has introduced new agriculture and agribusiness programs for its students.
"San Jacinto College recently introduced programs for agriculture and agribusiness to offer students education in an area that addresses reliance on food and sustainable agricultural practices. Job growth for food scientists and technologists is expected to be driven by the demand for new food products and food safety measures," according to a press release from San Jacinto College.
San Jacinto College has three campuses and offers 200 degree and certificate courses to its more than 25,000 students. It offered its first classes in 1961. Two campuses are located in Houston and the third is in Pasadena. Brenda Hellyer is the college chancellor.
San Jacinto College is at 8060 Spencer Highway, Pasadena.
