Gas prices in and around Pasadena were lower than the averages for Houston and the country as a whole last week, according to data from the price-tracking website GasBuddy.com.
Visitors to the GasBuddy.com website reported rates at 91 gas stations in and around Pasadena. As of Saturday, Feb. 16, the average price of regular unleaded gas in Pasadena was $3.49 per gallon. GasBuddy.com listed the Houston average at $3.53, the state average at $3.53 and the nationwide average at $3.67.
The least expensive gas in Pasadena was reported to be $3.33 for a gallon of regular unleaded, which GasBuddy.com contributors logged at Kroger, 1300 W. Fairmont Parkway.
A GasBuddy.com user reported the most expensive gas in the area was $3.69 at Valero, 9700 Spencer Highway; Valero, 10951 W. Fairmont Parkway; and Chevron, 12450 Red Bluff Road.

The prices, based on the cost of regular unleaded gas, are submitted by the site's contributors. The site's stated mission is "to serve the public by providing a real time gas prices forum so that consumers can have access to the information necessary to locate the lowest fuel prices available."
