Seven Pasadena runners complete Rhythm and Blues 5K
Seven Pasadena athletes completed the Rhythm and Blues 5K on Sunday, Feb. 10 in Houston.
The runners from Pasadena and their finishing times were Amanda Ortiz, 32, 28:28; Alberto Bermudez, 39, 39:27; Ingrid Bermudez, 38, 39:28; Chanel Blackledge, 37, 40:10; Karen Montalvo, 32, 46:41; Maria Ward, 39, 47:08; and Ernest Lopez, 54, 52:44.
Race organizers said 1,174 runners finished the 5K race, which began and ended at Sam Houston Park.
Stephen Ward was the men's overall winner with a finishing time of 17:28, while Rebecca Eggeling was the winner in the women's category with a time of 20:06.
