Memorial grad Vasquez plays in Presque Isle loss
Pasadena Memorial High School graduate Gerardo Vasquez scored seven points, but his University of Maine at Presque Isle lost 70-68 at home Monday, Jan. 21, to Eastern Nazarene College at Presque Isle, the team's website reported.
Vasquez also recorded seven rebounds, eight assists, two steals and a block for the Owls, who are 8-10 on the season.
Maine at Presque Isle's next game is at 2 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 26 at home against State University of New York-Canton College of Technology.
Vasquez, a 5-foot-8 senior guard for the University of Maine at Presque Isle, is a 2009 graduate of Pasadena Memorial High School. The Houston native is the son of Gerardo and Elizabeth Vasquez.
