Gulf Coast Educators FCU CEO Linda Lukaszewski was named the Pasadena Independent School District's Distinguished Citizen at a recent reception.
Lukaszewski received the award from PSID Superintendent Kirk Lewis and PSID Board of Trustees President Marshall Kendrick.
Lukaszewski created a culture of volunteerism and involvement in education since becoming the CEO of the credit union. She has encouraged employees of the credit union to volunteer and mentor in local school districts and has helped mentor children.
Also, more than $100,000 has been donated by the credit union over the last few years to help fund education foundations in the area.
"We as a district know that we can count on Linda in everything that we do," Lewis stated in a release. "We would not be able to do what we do here in Pasadena without people like Linda Lukaszewski."
