Pasadena Memorial grad Vasquez helps in Maine-Presque win
Pasadena Memorial High School graduate Gerardo Vasquez scored two points to help Maine at Presque Isle to a 61-58 win over State University of New York at Canton Sunday, Jan. 6, at Roos House in Canton, the team's website reported.
Vasquez also recorded three rebounds and five assists for the Owls, who improved to 7-7 on the season. The team's next game is 7 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 8 on the road against Bowdoin College.
Vasquez, a 5-foot-8 senior guard for the University of Maine at Presque Isle, is a 2009 graduate of Pasadena Memorial High School. The Houston native is the son of Gerardo and Elizabeth Vasquez.
