Memorial grad Vasquez plays in Maine loss
Pasadena Memorial High School graduate Gerardo Vasquez played for University of Maine at Presque Isle as it lost 80-70 to Fisher College Friday, Jan. 4 at Fectau-Leary Gym in Lynn, Maine, the team's website reported.
Vasquez recorded two rebounds, four assists and a steal for the Owls, who now are 6-7 on the season.
Maine at Presque Isle's next game is at 2 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 6 at State University of New York at Canton.
Vasquez, a 5-foot-8 senior guard for the University of Maine at Presque Isle, is a 2009 graduate of Pasadena Memorial High School. The Houston native is the son of Gerardo and Elizabeth Vasquez.
