Pasadena Memorial grad Vasquez plays in University of Maine at Presque Isle loss

Pasadena Memorial High School graduate Gerardo Vasquez played for the University of Maine at Presque Isle in a 46-70 loss at the Salem State Holiday Classic against Claremont-Mudd-Scripps College on Sunday, Dec. 30, University of Maine at Presque Isle's website reported.

The University of Maine at Presque Isle senior guard recorded three rebounds and one assist for the Owls, who are 6-6 on the season.

University of Maine at Presque Isle's next game is 7 p.m. Friday, Jan. 4 on the road against Fisher College.

Vasquez, a 5-foot-8 senior guard for the University of Maine at Presque Isle, is a 2009 graduate of Pasadena Memorial High School. The Houston native is the son of Gerardo and Elizabeth Vasquez.
