Memorial grad Vasquez plays in Maine loss

Pasadena Memorial High School graduate Gerardo Vasquez played for Maine at Presque Isle in its 86-75 loss to Salem State Saturday, Dec. 29, at Salem, Maine, the team's website reported.

The University of Maine at Presque Isle senior guard recorded three rebounds and four assists for the Owls, who are 6-5 on the season.

Vasquez, a 5-foot-8 senior guard for Maine at Presque Isle, is a 2009 graduate of Pasadena Memorial High School. The Houston native is the son of Gerardo and Elizabeth Vasquez.
