Pasadena Memorial grad Vasquez helps Maine-Presque to win
Pasadena Memorial High School graduate Gerardo Vasquez scored two points as his University of Maine at Presque Isle men's basketball team won an 87-68 homecourt victory over Eastern Maine Community College Friday, Dec. 14 at Presque Isle, according to the team's website.
Vasquez also recorded one rebound and four assists for the Owls as they improved to 6-3 on the season.
Maine-Presque Isle's next game is 2 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 15 at Maine Maritime Academy.
Vasquez, a 5-foot-8 senior guard for the Maine-Presque Isle, is a 2009 graduate of Memorial. The Houston native is the son of Gerardo and Elizabeth Vasquez.
