Pasadena Memorial grad Vasquez helps Maine-Presque Isle to win
Pasadena Memorial High School graduate Gerardo Vasquez contributed six points to the 71-63 win by his University of Maine at Presque Isle over the University of Maine at Fort Kent Wednesday, Dec. 5 at UMFK Sports Center in Fort Kent, the team's website reported.
Vasquez also recorded five assists and a steal for the Owls, who improved to 5-3 on the season. The team's next game is 5:30 p.m. Friday, Dec. 14 at home against EMCC.
Vasquez, a 5-foot-8 senior guard for Maine-Presque Isle, is a 2009 graduate of Pasadena Memorial High School. The Houston native is the son of Gerardo and Elizabeth Vasquez.
