Pasadena Memorial grad Vasquez plays in Maine-Presque Isle loss
Pasadena Memorial High School graduate Gerardo Vasquez contributed eight points but his University of Maine at Presque Isle men's basketball team lost 87-48 to the University of Southern Maine Sunday, the school website said.
Vasquez also recorded three rebounds and two assists for the Owls, who are 1-1 on the season.
University of Maine at Presque Isle's next game is 2 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 25 on the road against SMCC.
Vasquez, a 5-foot-8 senior guard, is a 2009 graduate of Pasadena Memorial High School. The Houston native is the son of Gerardo and Elizabeth Vasquez.
