San Jacinto College participates in National Alternative Fuel Vehicle Day
San Jacinto College recently participated in the National Alternative Fuel Vehicle Day Odyssey event Thursday, Oct. 18.
According to a press release, the biennial event, developed by the National Alternative Fuels Training Consortium at West Virginia University, focuses on using alternative fuel and advanced technology vehicles, promoting clean technology and reducing the nation's energy dependence.
The event featured green transportation-related presentations held by NAFTC members, Clean Cities coalitions and other individuals and organizations that believe in cleaner and more energy-efficient forms of transportation.
"We were very excited to be a part of Odyssey 2012," Mir Alikhan, Automotive Technology Toyota T-TEN instructor, said in the release. "Our event gave us an opportunity to share valuable information with the public about alternative fuel and advanced technology vehicles. We helped Odyssey in its goal to spread the message of embracing these new technologies."
