City of Pasadena City Council to meet Nov. 13
The city of Pasadena City Council will meet at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 13.
According to the published agenda, the following new business is scheduled for discussion:
1. An ordinance authorizing and approving a contract by and between the city of Pasadena Texas and Horseshoe Construction Inc. for the 2011-2012 CDBG Waterline Improvements Project (CIP #W018) in the amount of $692,449 with a five percent contingency of $34,622.45 for a total appropriation of $727,071.45.
2. An ordinance authorizing and approving a contract by and between the city of Pasadena Texas and PM Construction & Rehab LLC for the CDBG 2011 Sanitary Sewer Rehabilitation Project various locations (CIP #WW015) in the amount of $985,000 with a five percent contingency of $49,250.00 for a total appropriation of $1,034,250.
3. An ordinance authorizing and approving a contract between the city of Pasadena, Texas and MDN Enterprises for purchase by the City of Pasadena of full circle repair clamps for a period of one year.
4. An ordinance authorizing and approving an agreement by and between the city of Pasadena Texas and CenterPoint Energy for Southmore Phase II from Johnson to Strawberry (CIP #S055) for the installation of street lights and appropriating the amount of $7,156.32.
5. An ordinance approving and authorizing an agreement by and between the city of Pasadena, Texas and The Bridge Over Troubled Waters, Inc. for the disbursement of Emergency Solutions Grant funds in connection with a public service program for an on-site shelter with daycare and developmental services for women and their children who are residents of the shelter for battered women; and appropriating the amount of $15,000.
6. An ordinance approving and authorizing an agreement by and between the City of Pasadena, Texas and Pasadena Community Ministry for the disbursement of Community Development Block Grant funds in connection with a public service program operated by that agency to provide rent and utility assistance for the shelter and food pantry; and appropriating the amount of $10,000.
7. An ordinance approving and authorizing an agreement by and between the city of Pasadena Texas and Pasadena Community Ministry for the disbursement of Emergency Solutions Grant funds in connection with a public service program operated by that agency to provide rent and utility assistance for low-mod income persons; and appropriating the amount of $43,845.27.
8. An ordinance approving and authorizing an agreement by and between the city of Pasadena, Texas and Project Joy and Hope, Inc. for the disbursement of Emergency Solutions Grant funds in connection with a public service program operated by that agency to provide counseling and shelter for families of terminally ill children; and appropriating the amount of $50,000.
9. An ordinance approving and authorizing an agreement by and between the city of Pasadena, Texas and Sarah’s House for the disbursement of Community Development Block Grant funds in connection with a public service program operated by that agency to provide shelter and service for homeless women and children; and appropriating the amount of $35,000.
10. An Ordinance approving and authorizing an agreement by and between the city of Pasadena, Texas and Sarah’s House for the disbursement of Emergency Solutions Grant funds in connection with a public service program operated by that agency to provide shelter and services for homeless families and low income persons; and appropriating the amount of $30,000.
The meeting will be held in Main Conference Room, 1211 Southmore.
