Pasadena Memorial High School grad leads Rice University to win
Pasadena Memorial High School graduate Nancy Cole contributed in Rice University's 3-1 victory over Southern Methodist University in women's college volleyball action Nov. 9, according to Rice University's website.
Cole, a senior middle blocker, contributed three digs, two blocks and 11 kills in the win, along with a .391 hitting percentage.
The Owls won 25-21, 21-25, 26-24 and 25-23 at Moody Coliseum in Dallas. The team is now 19-11 on the season.
The next contest for Rice University is at 5 p.m. Friday, Nov. 16, at home against Houston.
Cole, a senior middle blocker for Rice University, graduated from Pasadena Memorial High School in 2009. She was a three-time first-team All-District 22-5A performer and academic All-State as a senior in high school. She is the daughter of John and Chalayne Cole.
