Pasadena Memorial HS grad Hamrick played in Mississippi College loss
Pasadena Memorial High School graduate Lauryn Hamrick had 16 assists Oct. 16, but Mississippi College dropped a 3-0 decision to Millsaps College in women's volleyball action.
Hamrick, a senior setter, also contributed one dig and one block, along with a .250 hitting percentage.
The Choctaws lost 22-25, 13-25 and 8-25 at the Hangar Dome in Jackson, Miss. The team is now 10-16 on the season.
Hamrick graduated from Pasadena Memorial High School in 2009. She played for coach Shelly Black in high school and was named second-team All-District during her junior and senior years. The kinesiology major is the daughter of Gary and Christina Itzkowitz.
