TCC teams with San Jacinto College's massage therapy program
Texas Chiropractic College's Moody Health Center announced a new partnership with San Jacinto College's Massage Therapy Program.
The partnership provides clinical and office space in the MHC for qualified MTP students participating in the required internship. The San Jacinto College students will be providing 50-minute massage therapy sessions at MHC on Wednesday and Friday afternoons and Saturday mornings for just $20, or $10 for TCC and San Jacinto students, according to a school press release.
"This is an exciting opportunity for Texas Chiropractic College and the Moody Health Center to provide even more quality health care options for the surrounding community while continuing to strengthen our partnership with San Jacinto College," said Dr. Barry Wiese, TCC Dean of Clinics, in the release. "We are looking forward to growing this partnership and the opportunities it provides for our chiropractic interns to interact with the massage therapy interns. Together, they will better learn how to partner as professionals to provide integrative care for their patients."
Founded in San Antonio in September 1908, Texas Chiropractic College relocated to Pasadena in 1965 to accommodate growing enrollment and is today recognized as a leader in chiropractic education. The college's Moody Health Center provides health services to the public, and is a model integrative health care facility featuring traditional chiropractic care, family practice by medical doctors, acupuncture and massage.
Texas Chiropractic College is at 5917 Spencer Highway, Pasadena.
