Pasadena celebrating National Night Out on Oct. 2
The city of Pasadena is encouraging residents to take part in a National Night Out from 6-9 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 2.
The event will includes parties, barbecues, parades, ice cream socials, games and other activities in several neighborhoods, according to a press release from the city.
National Night Out provides a way for neighbors to meet and get involved in crime watches and other crime prevention programs, the release said.
Neighborhoods that are planning events can request visits from Mayor Johnny Isbell, members of the city council and city department heads. Officers from the Pasadena Police Department's Community Services Division, Patrol Division, K-9 Unit and Bicycle Patrol and other first responders will also be available to visit parties, according to the release.
