Sales tax revenues down 11.25 percent in Seabrook
September sales tax revenue in the city of Seabrook has decreased 11.25 percent compared to September 2011.
The city collected $227,514.58 from the State Comptrollers Office, which marks a decrease of $28,840.00.
Sales tax revenue for the fiscal year 2011-2012 is down 3.27 percent, or $90,461.39 for the year to date compared to last year's total at this time. Actual sales revenue is $2,676,577.05.
Sales tax in Seabrook is broken into the general fund, which is 51 percent; the Economic Development corporation, which is 25 percent; and the Crime Control District, which is 24 percent.
September sales tax collection is based on July sales.
