Pasadena Convention Center to host petrochemical, maritime conference
The Pasadena Convention Center will host a Petrochemical and Maritime Outlook Conference on Thursday, Sept. 6. The event will cover a number of topics, from Houston's growth expectations to specific details on the petrochemical industry. U.S. Rep. Pete Olson of Texas's 22nd District will lead a discussion about the federal update on port region issues. Later, Col. Leonard D. Waterworth, executive director of the Port of Houston Authority, will discuss Port of Houston's growth and commerce. A petrochemical panel will be led by representatives from ExxonMobil, LyondellBasell and the Texas Chemical Council. A maritime and logistics panel will headed by representatives from Gulf Winds, the Greater Houston Port Bureau and the Buffalo Marine Service. Earl Shipp, vice president of Texas Operations for Dow Chemical Co., will deliver the event's keynote address. Individual tickets are $100, a table for eight costs $750, and a booth with two tickets costs $400. Bronze sponsorships are available for $1,200, silver for $2,500, gold for $5,000 and platinum for $10,000. A 3 percent processing fee is added to all payments made online. The Petrochemical and Maritime Outlook Conference will be held from 7 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the Pasadena Convention Center, located at 7902 Fairmont Parkway in Pasadena.
