Saltwater fishing tourney set for Sept. 28-29

Registration is now open for the 2012 Houston Bearing Saltwater Fishing Tournament, scheduled for Friday-Saturday, Sept. 28-29.   For safety reasons, and so enough prizes can be purchased, advance registration is required for this year's event. Forms are available at www.houstonbearing.com/2012EntryForm.pdf. The deadline is Monday, Aug. 27.   The entry forms will be used to create a log in/out sheet and each participant must sign in and out upon entering or exiting the water.   If participants are unable to sign in or out, they should contact Albin Mazyn at 281-610-0003. If Albin can't be reached, anglers can contact Alice Weaver at 281-684-9699.   If a participant has not signed back in by 8 p.m., the emergency authorities will be notified. Anyone leaving town early on Saturday should sign out before leaving.   The tournament headquarters is located at The Crab Trap, 1652 C.R. 201 in Sargent.
