Armand Bayou Nature Center to host third nature series Sunday
Area nature lovers are invited to learn more about Our Watershed during a nature program hosted by the Armand Bayou Nature Center on Sunday afternoon, Aug. 19.
The program is part of the Third Sunday nature series. Attendees will experience naturalist guided hikes to the Bayou Overlook, through the forest and prairie trails and the Discovery Loop. Discussions will focus on the Armand Bayou watershed and importance of maintaining the water's quality for sustainability and recreation.
Volunteers will demonstrate life in the water at several stations at the center. There are five miles of hiking trails, the 1895 Hanson House and reptile collections to explore.
Time for the program is 1-3 p.m. on Aug 19, with hours at the nature center that day running from noon-5 p.m.
