Pasadena company accuses former vice president of client poaching
A Pasadena company is suing over claims its former vice president violated his employment agreement by poaching clients for a competitor.
Rodeo Ranch, doing business in Pasadena as American Concrete Service, filed a lawsuit on July 27 in Harris County District Court against Wilson Paul Dorr and Redi-Mix Solutions, citing breach of fiduciary duty, breach of contract and tortious interference.
Rodeo Ranch, a concrete truck cleaning business, says on May 7 it fired its vice president, Dorr, after learning he breached the terms of his employment contract by soliciting its customers for a competitor.
The suit further alleges that after Dorr left the company, he continued to use Rodeo Ranch's confidential customer lists and price structures to poach more clients, which financially damaged the company.
The plaintiff is seeking actual and exemplary damages, attorney fees and court costs. He is being represented in the case by Houston attorney Herbert Fortson, III.
