Pasadena Parks and Recreation announces Special Olympics registration
Pasadena Parks and Recreation invites athletes to compete in the Special Olympics bocce, aquatics and softball games.
The Special Olympics bocce tournament, for ages 8 and older, will take place on Saturday, Sept. 15 at Kincaid School. The deadline to register for the team is Thursday, Aug. 16. Practice begins Tuesday, Aug. 7.
Pasadena Special Olympics aquatics team will compete Saturday, Oct. 6 at the University of Houston. The deadline to register is Tuesday, Aug. 14. Swimmers ages 8 and older will race assisted, unassisted or competitively.
Softball tournaments for ages 7 and older are scheduled for Saturday, Sept. 22, Saturday, Oct. 13 and Thursday, Oct. 25 through Saturday, Oct. 27 at College Station. The deadline to register is Monday, Aug. 27 and there is a $30 entry fee, a $120 fee for travel and costs for lodgings and food.
