San Jacinto College to offer music scholarships
San Jacinto College will host music scholarship auditions for the coming fall semester beginning at 9 a.m. Aug. 4 in the Dr. Monte Blue Music Building located on the Central Campus at 8060 Spencer Highway in Pasadena.
These scholarships are for students who are music majors or nonmusic majors wishing to perform in campus ensembles. The auditions are open to incoming freshmen, transfer students and for returning sophomore students. Music majors will take music theory placement exams at the audition.
To request an audition time, call 281-476-1832 or email Geneva Fort at geneva.fort@sjcd.edu. Registration can also be taken at the front desk of the music building.
Students wishing to apply for music scholarships at the South Campus should send an email to lynne.brandt@sjcd.edu. Applications for scholarships at the North Campus should be sent to randy.snyder@sjcd.edu.
San Jacinto College has been serving citizens of East Harris County for more than 50 years and offers a wide range of music courses and degree plans. Private music lessons are available at all three campuses.
