Five men arrested in La Porte
Five men were arrested on June 7 in connection with a string of thefts and burglaries this month in La Porte.
According to the police report, Taylor Ashton Ellard, 20, of La Porte, was was charged with burglary of a motor vehicle on Wednesday after police said he advertised several of the stolen items for sale. He is allegedly connected with the burglary of eight vehicles in the Glen Meadows subdivision.
Ivory Whitfield, 32, of Pasadena, was also arrested on outstanding warrants after being reported by residents in the Brookglen subdivision for carrying a flashlight and looking suspicious. His outstanding warrants are linked to four vehicle burglaries, according to officials.
Three other men, Raul Martinez, 22, of Pasadena; Julio Cesar Chapa, 19, of Houston; and Julio Cesar Martinez, 18, of Houston, were charged with theft after residents in the Lomax area reported tires being stolen from a parked sport utility vehicle, according to police.
Raul, Chapa and Julio were also linked to three additional felony theft cases in the Fairmont Park West subdivision, according to police.
