Bayshore Medical Center recognized for high quality of care
Bayshore Medical Center (BMC) has received the Texas Health Care Quality Improvement Award from TMF Health Quality Institute, the Medicare Quality Improvement Organization for Texas.
The awards honors Texas hospitals like BMC that are performing quality initiatives aimed at improving outcomes in patient care by recognizing those hospitals that have improved their performance on specific national quality measures.
“This is a significant achievement that demonstrates our commitment to patient safety and quality healthcare,” said Jeanna Barnard, CEO of Bayshore Medical Center, in a press release. “Our physicians, nurses, employees and volunteers are dedicated to putting in the tremendous number of hours required to enhance quality improvement efforts because using proven standards saves lives.”
Out of 227 participating Texas hospitals, 27 met the criteria and were presented with the Texas Health Care Quality Improvement Award of Excellence.
