Pasadena Parks and Recreation, Police department earn awards
Members of Pasadena Parks and Recreation and Police departments were named Volunteers of the Year by Pasadena Independent School District, after being nominated by Keller Middle School students and staff.
Representatives from the district thanked the two groups for help with projects, citing assistance with Keller's annual Health Fair and Career Day as proof of a willingness to help in any capacity.
"I’m proud of our Parks and Recreation employees and our police officers, and I congratulate them on receiving this honor," said Mayor Johnny Isbell. "You are all great representatives of the city of Pasadena, and I thank you for the outstanding work you do in our community."
