Clear Creek ISD Trustee earns master trustee honor
Ann Hammond, a Clear Creek ISD board of trustees member, earned the designation of Master Trustee on June 15.
Ann Hammond, a Clear Creek Independent School District board of trustees member, earned a master trustee designation June 15.
Hammond earned the designation after completing the Texas Association of School Boards leadership program.
"The yearlong program was an incredible learning experience and being able to visit school districts across Texas was so enlightening," Hammond said in a press release. "Of particular interest to me was that no matter the size of the district, if there was a high level of parental involvement, student achievement was evident."
Composed of 31 school board members, the class researched topics related to nontraditional approaches to challenges in today's educational enterprises.
Research topics included college readiness, student health, board leadership, funding inequities, 21st-century classroom adaptations and parental involvement.
Hammond's group project was one of four to be presented at the TASB convention in September.
