Congressman visits elementary school pupils
Rep. Gene Green, D-Texas, visited Pearl Hall Elementary on June 4.
Green read to a group of pupils in the school library, presented a U.S. flag and spoke with the classroom of Pasadena ISD’s Elementary Teacher of the Year, Jami Lepold.
“It’s really important that we take time to encourage our students and stress the importance of reading and doing well in school,” Green said. “Even at a young age, it can stick with them and give them confidence to pursue their interests and dreams.”
