Man loses three fingers, sues Pasadena company
A Houston man is suing after a machine, serviced by a Pasadena company, cut off three of his fingers.
Than Phong Tran filed a lawsuit June 22 in the Harris County District Court against Pasadena company A-One Chemicals and Equipment, citing negligence and gross negligence.
Tran says on April 3, the machine he used at work jammed, and when he went to move the belts to get it going again as instructed by an employee of the defendant, it cut off his index, middle and ring fingers. The accident occurred because the defendant failed to install safety plates and guards on the machine, according to the brief.
Tran is seeking damages and court costs. He is being represented in the case by Houston attorney MatĂas AdroguĂ©.
