Annual Shrimp Boil seeking sponsors and auction items for fundraiser
Sponsors and donations are needed for the 23rd annual Shrimp Boil fundraiser, taking place from 4-8 p.m. on Saturday, July 14 at the Pasadena Convention Center, 7902 Fairmont Parkway.
Proceeds from the event will benefit the Rose, a non-profit breast cancer organization providing support, screening, diagnosis and access to treatment for all women, regardless of an individual's ability to pay.
“Through the years, the Shrimp Boil has proven that it takes a community to make a fundraiser happen,” said Shirley Terry-Lopez, chair of the Shrimp Boil Committee, in a press release. “We have several levels of sponsorship available. As a business owner myself, I can tell you it’s a great way to promote your business and make a difference in a woman’s life by helping the Rose.”
Last year's event raised more than $111,000, with more than 1,000 participants and approximately 15 volunteers helping out.
This year's event will include a silent auction of more than 100 themed baskets, a live auction, children's activities and music by the Grateful Geezers.
Tickets cost $20 for adults and $10 for children.
