Seabrook collects nearly $200,000 for June sales-tax revenue
The City of Seabrook has collected $199,661.44 in sales-tax revenue this June from the State Comptroller's Office.
The 2012 June sales-tax revenue decreased 8.22 percent, or $17,891.11, from June 2011. Additionally, the year-to-date total sales-tax revenue for 2011-12 is down 4.85 percent, or $99,438.42.
Revenue from the Seabrook sales tax is divided among three funds: the General Fund, 51 percent, $101,128.94; the Economic Development Corporation Fund, 25 percent, $50,564.47; and the Crime Control District Fund, 24 percent, $47,968.03.
The June Seabrook sales-tax figures are based on sales-tax income from two months prior to collection.
