Debbie and Thomas Holcomb acquired a four-bedroom, 2.5-bath home at 3626 Sweetbriar Drive in Pasadena from Michael Austin Sprague on Sept. 14.

The 1,629-square-foot house, which was built in 1981, is in the Country Briar subdivision. The property is valued at $124,756.

Mr. Sprague is a senior research scientist in scientific computing at the National Renewable Energy Laboratory. Prior to that, he was an assistant professor of applied mathematics at the University of California-Merced in its school of natural sciences.

He finished his B.S. in mechanical engineering at the University of Wisconsin-Madison and received his master's degree and Ph.D. in mechanical engineering from the University of Colorado at Boulder.
