Friendswood student reports stranger tried to grab her
A Friendswood student reported that a stranger tried to grab her while she was gathering trash near the Friendswood Independent School District agricultural barn on Tuesday, May 29, according to a press release from Superintendent Trish Hanks.
The release stated that the student was able to escape from the unidentified man but could not provide a description of him or his vehicle when she spoke to police about the incident later.
Superintendent Hanks, in her release, encouraged students not to go alone to area campuses during the summer because they will be mostly vacant and possibly dangerous.
"The buddy system should always be in place when going to areas where no adults are present, such as athletic fields and/or play areas," she said in the release.
