7-year-old accepts degree for late uncle at UH-Clear Lake

University of Houston-Clear Lake President William A. Staples kneels to offer words of support to 7-year-old Ryan Rouineb during UH-Clear Lake's spring commencement ceremony.

Seven-year-old Ryan Rouineb walked across the stage holding a rose in memory of his uncle John Lawrence at the University of Houston-Clear Lake's spring commencement ceremony.

Lawrence died unexpectedly during spring break and was awarded a posthumous master of counseling degree.
