Teague Elementary receives $5K grant, plans literacy lab

A local elementary schoolteacher will use a $5,000 grant to open a new literacy lab.
Teague Elementary teacher Silvia Garcia and her students were on hand May 16 to accept the check from the Pasadena Education Foundation.
The Pasadena ISD Education Foundation has donated more than $83,000 in mini-grants to 17 Pasadena-area schools.
Teague Elementary is located at 4200 Crenshaw Road in Pasadena.
