Two SJC students receive Student of the Year honors

Ivan Quinones and Courtney Elliott, both students at San Jacinto College-South Campus, received awards for the South Campus Outstanding Student of the Year at the annual campus awards ceremony.
Quinones and Elliott are president and vice president respectively of the Alpha Gamma Zeta chapter of Phi Theta Kappa, an international community college honor society. Quinones also received the PTK Officer of the Year award, and Elliott earned the Best English Paper award and the South Campus Phi Beta Lambda Student of the Year award.
Quinones will attend the University of Houston, and Elliott will attend Texas A&M University.
