The planting event was part of SJC's service learning event, which is organized each year by the SJC Central Campus Science Department.
Students replanted native grasses in an attempt to restore grassland vegetation in the area.
The group of SJC students was led by professors Carrie Hughes, Barbara Schumacher, Virginia Gordy and Patricia Steinke.
