Student aspires to become an engineer
Luke Johnson, 7, is the youngest member of Clear Creek ISD to be nominated as a Houston Chronicle Student of the Week.
His teacher, Lauren Shenkir says Luke’s warm outlook is contagious. “Not only is Luke a hard-working student,” she said, “but he is so much fun to be around. This kid can have a good time and make me laugh every day. He is a great kid.”

ACCOMPLISHMENTS: Chess club member, Clear Creek ISD’s youngest nominated Houston Chronicle Student of the Week, is an excellent student. Lauren Shenkir, Luke’s teacher, says he is wise and responsible well beyond his years. “Luke is one of my most responsible students in class. He always comes to school ready to learn with a smile on his face. He is so motivated to do well in school.”
