Three Pasadena ISD teachers honored by Association for Alternative Certification
Honored Alternative Certification teachers Eric Brown of Dobie, Kristi Trahan and Amery MacIntosh of Memorial.
Three teachers from Pasadena Independent School District recently earned honorable mention in the National Intern of the Year competition.
Teachers Amery MacIntosh and Kristi Trahan were on the honorable mention list for the 2010-2011 school year, and Eric Brown was named for the 2011-2012 school year. All three teachers earned their teaching certifications through the district's Alternative Teacher Certification Program.
The National Association for Alternative Certification presented the teachers with their awards at the ATCP Advisory Committee meeting earlier this year.
Only 10 teachers out of hundreds of nominees are selected every year for honorable mention.
MacIntosh teaches Algebra I at Memorial High School; Trahan is an AP Environmental Science teacher at Memorial High School; and Brown teaches microbiology and pathophysiology at Dobie High School.
