Gas prices in the Pasadena area were lower compared to the averages for Houston and the country as a whole this week, according to data from the price-tracking website www.gasbuddy.com.

Visitors to the website reported rates for 83 gas stations in and around Pasadena, Deer Park, and La Porte. As of May 5, the average price of regular unleaded gas in the Pasadena area is $3.652 per gallon. Gasbuddy.com listed the Texas average at $3.633, Houston average at $3.710, and the nationwide average at $3.782.

The average gas price in the Pasadena area last week was $3.746 per gallon.

The least expensive gas price in the Pasadena area is reported to be $3.49 for a gallon of regular unleaded gas, which gasbuddy.com contributors logged as being available at Fuel Express, 7339 Spencer Highway and Big C Market, 2501 Preston Road.

A gasbuddy.com user also reported the most expensive gas price in the area at $3.99, which was being sold at Valero, 1806 Battleground Road.
