San Jacinto College to celebrate 50 years of educational excellence
San Jacinto College will celebrate its 50th anniversary at a gala celebration, co-chaired by Melvin Cowart, David and Marie Flickinger and John and Rose Moon Sr., from 6:30-11 p.m. May 4 at Space Center Houston, 1601 NASA Parkway, Houston.
Nearly 300 guests are expected to attend the gala. Erik Barajas, KTRK ABC 13 anchor and San Jacinto College alumnus, will emcee the event, which will feature dinner, dancing and a live and a silent auction.
Tickets to the formal event cost $250 per person and $500 per couple. Donations for the live and silent auction are also being accepted.
Partnerships for the gala are available at several levels. They are $50,000 Endeavor Underwriter, $25,000 Atlantis Underwriter, $10,000 Discovery Sponsor and $5,000 Enterprise Sponsor.
All proceeds generated from the event will benefit the San Jacinto College “Promise for Their Future” scholarship fund to help students pursue degrees and careers in the arts and sciences.
