Pasadena City Council meeting minutes, March 27
The Pasadena City Council met March 27 to discuss and approve the following hirings, firings, suspensions and job deletions and creations:
Miram Garza was recommended for the position of librarian; Kristopher Rife was recommended for the position of police service officer; and Thomas Simiele was recommended for the position of library director, all effective March 28. Luzerito Rodriguez was recommended for the part-time aquatics pool position, effective April 4.
Anne Marie Ostrander was put on suspension as an animal control officer through the Animal Rescue, effective March 19.
Rosalinda Gluzman will retire as custodian from the Parks Department, effective April 13.
Effective April 2, the following positions will be deleted and replaced with new titles:
The position of Utility Worker II will be deleted and replaced with Utility Work I; Equipment Operator II will be deleted and replaced with Utility Worker III; Housing Programs Coordinator will be deleted and replaced with Special Projects Coordinator; Senior Office Assistant will be deleted and replaced with Waiting List Coordinator.
