San Jacinto College sets open house for future medical assistants
San Jacinto College will host a free open house from noon to 6 p.m. Friday, Feb. 17 for people interested in medical assisting.
The event will take place in the college’s medical assisting classroom and laboratory, located in room N7.151 of the Burleson Building on the North Campus, 5800 Uvalde Road.
The weeklong open house began Feb. 13.
The open house will feature demonstration stations staffed by medical assisting students. Hands-on activities, such as body-mass index procedures, will allow visitors a sample of work performed by medical assistants. Visitors can also learn about medical assisting certification classes, which will be offered at the North Campus in summer 2012, according to a press release.
